Tickets are now on sale for the world premiere of Richard Greenberg's The Assembled Parties. Directed by Lynne Meadow, the play stars Tony Award winner Judith Light and Tony nominees Jessica Hecht and Jeremy Shamos. Performances begin March 21 at Broadway’s Samuel J. Friedman Theatre, with opening night set for April 17.
The Assembled Parties revolves around the Bascovs, an Upper West Side Jewish family in 1980. In a large Central Park West apartment, former movie star Julie Bascov (Hecht) and her sister-in-law Faye (Light) bring their families together for a holiday meal. But once a new houseguest wheedles himself into the family drama, the Bascovs’ picture-perfect way of life is thrown into jeopardy.
In addition to Light, Hecht and Shamos, the production stars Mark Blum, Sam Robards, Lauren Blumenfield, Alex Dreier, and Jake Silbermann.
The creative team for The Assembled Parties includes scenic designer Santo Loquasto, costume designer Jane Greenwood, lighting designer Peter Kaczorowski and sound designer Obadiah Eaves.
